Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account, purchasing access, or using Mercantile OS, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. If you have not reached the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use and purchase.

2. What you are purchasing

Mercantile OS is a persistent multiplayer browser economy simulation. A payment of $3.00 USD purchases one-time digital access for one Mercantile account. It is not a subscription and has no recurring fee. Access is normally delivered to the purchasing account immediately after Stripe confirms payment.

The purchase does not include real-world land, currency, securities, commodities, ownership interests, or investment products. All companies, money, land, goods, structures, and other assets shown inside Veyra Prime are fictional game elements with no cash value and no right of withdrawal or payout.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity performed through your account. Provide accurate purchase information, do not share or sell accounts, and contact Support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Password recovery is not currently available, so keep your credentials secure.

4. Fair play and acceptable use

You may use the game for personal entertainment. You may not cheat; exploit bugs; automate play without permission; harass other players; manipulate payments; interfere with the service; access another person's account; scrape, reverse engineer, or attack the service; or use the game for unlawful activity. Report security or gameplay exploits privately through Support.

5. Persistent world and game changes

Mercantile OS is an evolving online game. Markets, balance, map data, construction rules, features, and virtual holdings may change to operate, secure, or improve the game. We may correct errors, roll back abusive transactions, suspend features, or reset affected data when reasonably necessary. Continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

6. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, fraud, payment reversal, security threats, or conduct that harms players or the service. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to resolve the issue. A payment refund or charge reversal may revoke the game access attached to that payment.

7. Ownership

Mercantile OS, its software, design, artwork, fictional setting, and service content are owned by their respective rights holders. Your purchase grants a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access the game; it does not transfer intellectual-property ownership.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or that virtual progress will never be affected by maintenance, security events, or necessary corrections. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for access. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms as the game develops. Material changes will be presented through the site with a revised date. These Terms are governed by applicable Canadian law and any mandatory consumer laws where you live.
